Do Thai Citizens Need a Visa for Dubai?

Thai ordinary-passport holders who do not qualify for a conditional visa-on-arrival route should arrange a UAE visa before travel. A qualifying foreign residence permit may make a traveller eligible for a 14-day or 60-day visa on arrival. This is a conditional route, not blanket visa-free entry for all Thai citizens.

Conditional UAE Visa on Arrival for Thai Citizens

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes Thai ordinary-passport holders and accompanying family members in its conditional arrival scheme. Its announcement lists valid residence permits from the US, EU member states, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Check the residence document and validity conditions with your airline before departure. If you do not qualify, use an available pre-arranged visa route. Holding a Thai passport alone does not establish eligibility for this special scheme.
