Staying longer
Can South Africans Extend Their UAE Tourist Visa?
Some 30- and 60-day tourist permits may be extendable through the issuing authority, depending on the visa category and rules in force at the time. Apply before the permitted stay expires; an extension is never automatic.

Can I Visit Abu Dhabi with a UAE Tourist Visa?
Yes. A valid UAE tourist visa is not limited to Dubai sightseeing. South African visitors may travel between Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain while the visa and permitted stay remain valid.

UAE Visa for South Africans: Can Children Apply Online?
Yes. Every child, including an infant, needs an individual valid passport and the correct UAE entry permission. Parents applying for a UAE visa for South Africans should submit the child with the family application and provide a passport copy, recent photograph and any birth certificate, consent or relationship evidence requested.
Do not assume that a child is automatically covered by a parent’s visa. For the June 2026 visa-on-arrival exception, accompanying family members must also meet the announced nationality and qualifying residence-permit conditions.
