Dubai Visa for Turkish UK BRP and eVisa Holders 2026

Applying for a Dubai visa from the UK with a Turkish passport? A UK BRP or eVisa proves your residence status in the United Kingdom, but it does not make an ordinary Turkish passport visa-free for Dubai. Turkish UK residents should check the UAE visa route using the passport they will travel with and arrange advance approval when required.

BRP update: physical UK BRP cards have expired and been replaced by eVisas. Travellers still search for “Turkish BRP visa,” so this guide uses both terms, but you should check your current status through your UKVI account before travelling.
Passport and residence are different

Do Turkish BRP and eVisa holders need a Dubai visa?

An ordinary Turkish passport holder normally needs a UAE visa before travel, even when they live, work or study in the UK. A UK BRP or eVisa supports the Turkish applicant's UK residence profile, but it is not a UAE visa and does not provide British citizenship.

UAE entry check

Use your Turkish passport

Select Turkish nationality on the UAE application when that is the passport used for the journey. Enter the name, passport number and dates exactly as printed.

UK status check

Use your current eVisa

Your UKVI account should show the correct immigration status and be linked to the current Turkish passport that you will carry.

Use the right guide: this page covers Turkish passport holders living in the UK. The UK BRP and eVisa pillar covers other nationalities, mixed-passport families and general UK residence questions. The Turkish citizens guide is for applicants living in Türkiye.

UK eVisa checks for Turkish passport holders travelling to Dubai

The UAE visa application and your ability to return to the UK are separate checks. Complete these UKVI checks before departure so the airline can match your Turkish travel document to your digital immigration status.

Check the current passport

Make sure the Turkish passport used for the flight is added to your UKVI account. Update the account if the passport was renewed.

Matching details

Review your eVisa record

Check that your name, date of birth and immigration status are correct and match the details given to the airline.

Status evidence

Prepare a travel share code

A share code can provide additional evidence of UK status when requested. GOV.UK currently states that a travel share code is valid for 90 days.

Do not rely on an expired BRP card for travel. Carry the valid Turkish passport linked to the UKVI account and check the eVisa before leaving the UK. An expired card may have limited administrative uses, but it is not your current digital immigration status.
UK-based applicant checklist

Dubai visa documents for Turkish UK BRP and eVisa holders

The final checklist depends on the selected visa and application review. Turkish UK residents should prepare the following passport, residence and travel documents, then submit extra evidence only through the appropriate secure channel when requested.

  • Valid ordinary Turkish passport
Provide a clear colour bio-page copy; the passport should normally have at least six months' validity.
  • Recent personal photograph
Use a clear image that meets the requested size and background instructions.
  • Current UK residence evidence
Be ready to show accessible eVisa details or an appropriate UKVI share code if requested.
  • Return or onward journey
Provide travel information showing the planned departure from the UAE.
  • UAE-valid medical insurance
Keep evidence of suitable cover for the intended stay.
  • Additional trip evidence
Accommodation, family relationship or other supporting files may be requested during review.
Passport renewal: if you have a new Turkish passport, update the UKVI account and use the new passport details on the UAE application. Mixing an old passport number in one system with a new number in another can cause travel checks or document corrections.

Turkish BRP travel questions

Dubai visa FAQs for Turkish BRP and eVisa holders

Does a UK BRP give a Turkish citizen visa-free entry to Dubai?

No. UK residence status does not turn a Turkish passport into a British passport. The UAE entry route is checked using the nationality and passport used for travel.

Can I travel using my expired BRP card?

Do not use an expired BRP as your travel status. Current GOV.UK guidance says BRPs have been replaced by eVisas. Travel with the valid passport linked to your UKVI account and check that your eVisa details are correct.

Is a UK eVisa the same as a UAE eVisa?

No. A UK eVisa records your UK immigration status. An approved UAE visa gives eligible permission to enter the UAE under its own dates and conditions.

Should I select British or Turkish nationality on the UAE form?

Select Turkish nationality when you are travelling on an ordinary Turkish passport. Living in the UK or holding an eVisa does not make you a British citizen.

Do I need a UKVI share code for the UAE application?

It may be requested as evidence of current UK status, but requirements can vary. Generate and share it only through an appropriate secure channel when needed.

Is Dubai visa approval guaranteed for Turkish UK residents?

No. UK residence does not guarantee approval, processing time or entry. The relevant UAE authorities make the final decision.

Check your Turkish passport and UK eVisa before applying

Use matching details across the UKVI account, airline booking and UAE visa application from the UK.
