Dubai Business Visit Visa for Employees & Corporate Teams: Employer Guide (2026)

By Sophia Martins, Visa Consultant • Updated October 2026

Planning meetings, a conference, or a client visit in Dubai? Arrange your employees’ travel documents around each traveller’s nationality, residence, itinerary, and intended activities.

Quick answer: A short business trip may be covered by an appropriate UAE visit entry permission, depending on the traveller and purpose. It does not automatically authorise employment or hands-on work. A company can coordinate applications for a team, but each employee needs their own eligibility assessment and entry permission.

What is a Dubai business visit visa?

“Dubai business visit visa” is commonly used to describe entry permission for a short corporate trip. The correct route depends on what the traveller will do in the UAE; the phrase should not be treated as one universal visa product.

Explain the trip’s actual purpose before applying, whether it involves client meetings, a conference, commercial discussions, or exploring business opportunities. Business exploration and temporary work missions have distinct requirements.

Sending staff to perform work? Installation, repairs, project delivery, trial work, and other operational duties need a separate assessment. Payment by an overseas employer does not, by itself, make the activity suitable for an ordinary visit visa.

Documents required for an employee’s business visit

Prepare the following for an initial review. The final checklist depends on the selected route and the traveller’s circumstances.

  • Passport: a clear colour copy of the biographical page; confirm the required remaining validity before submission.
  • Photograph: a recent passport-style colour photo meeting the application specifications.
  • Travel details: intended arrival, departure, accommodation, and return or onward itinerary.
  • Residence details: current country of residence and a residence permit copy if requested.
  • Employer letter, if requested: employee name, position, trip purpose, dates, and company contact details.
  • UAE host documents, if requested: invitation letter, host contact information, or trade licence copy.
  • Additional evidence: insurance, financial documents, or event registration where required.
What should an employer letter say? Use company letterhead and match the employee’s name to their passport. Explain who they will meet, the dates and location, who pays for the trip, and whether any operational work is planned. Include the signatory’s name and contact details.

How to arrange Dubai visas for a corporate team

  1. Share the travel brief. Provide each traveller’s nationality, residence, travel dates, entry plans, and intended activities.
  2. Confirm the appropriate route. Check whether a visa is required and whether the planned activities need additional permission.
  3. Review the checklist and quotation. Confirm documents, service inclusions, processing estimates, and applicable cancellation or refund terms.
  4. Submit each employee’s application. One company coordinator can organise the process, while each traveller retains a separate application and decision.
  5. Check issued documents before departure. Verify passport details, entry conditions, and dates, and carry the supporting travel documents required for the journey.

Ready with your documents? Start the online visa application after confirming that the selected option fits the trip.

Business visit visa fees, validity, and processing time

Request a quote based on nationality, residence, stay length, entry type, and application route. Your quotation should identify the total payable amount, service charges, and any additional items or deposits that apply.

Single or multiple entry?

Single entry may suit one uninterrupted trip. Multiple entry may suit an itinerary involving departure and re-entry during the permitted period. It does not automatically cover business travel throughout the year.

Validity is different from stay length

The deadline to enter, permitted stay, and re-entry conditions are separate matters. Follow the conditions on the issued permission and confirm how they apply to the itinerary.

Processing estimates depend on the route, document completeness, and immigration review. Additional checks can extend the timeline; expedited handling does not guarantee approval by a particular date.

Travelling with four or more employees? Ask about the GROUP promotion when requesting your quotation. Confirm whether the stated 15% discount is active, which charges it covers, and any exclusions before payment.

Common issues that can delay an application

  • Passport details that differ between the application and supporting letters.
  • Unreadable passport scans or unsuitable photographs.
  • Missing documents requested for the selected entry route.
  • An unclear itinerary or activities that require work authorisation.
  • Previous immigration violations or an existing application requiring clarification.

Review each employee’s file separately, even when everyone travels together. A complete application supports assessment but does not guarantee approval.

Frequently asked questions

Can an employee work in Dubai on an ordinary visit visa?

No. Ordinary visit permission does not authorise employment. Describe any planned project duties or hands-on services before applying so the appropriate work or mission route can be assessed.

Does every employee need a pre-arranged visa?

No universal rule applies to every passport. Some travellers may qualify for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival. Check each employee’s nationality and relevant residence status before paying.

Is a UAE invitation letter always required?

Requirements depend on the entry route. An invitation may be requested as evidence of the visit, but it does not replace required sponsorship or other application documents.

Can one HR coordinator arrange visas for the whole team?

One coordinator can organise travel details and supporting documents with the employees’ authorisation. Each traveller still requires an individual assessment and decision.

Can a multiple-entry visa cover all our annual trips?

Only if its actual validity and entry conditions cover those trips. Short-duration multiple-entry options should not be treated as year-round permission.

Is an electronic visa a different business visa category?

An electronic visa or entry permit describes the digital document or delivery format. It does not expand the activities allowed under the approved entry category.

Does one employee’s approval guarantee the team’s approval?

No. Applications are assessed individually. Team members may receive decisions at different times or be asked for different supporting documents.
